Hi, I’m Carla and I’m from Toronto Canada.  I studied Sociology at the University of Winnipeg and then studied at the University of Manitoba to become a Certified English Teacher. I’ve lived in Portugal for over 20 years and have worked for IH Braga for over 15 years.  Since joining IH Braga I’ve completed the IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and the Certificate in Advanced Methodology. I’m a Cambridge Speaking Examiner for Preliminary and the Younger Learner Exams.

I have enjoyed meeting and working with many different people in Portugal.  I teach mostly kids, Junior and young adult classes and like to have as many communication activities as possible during my lessons.

In my free time I like to read and watch detective and sci-fi stories as well as going swimming.
